About Us

Brittany

Burt

Brittany began her home construction career working under production builders in Memphis, Tennessee for four years, starting as an accountant, but taking the position and evolving it into a full-spectrum view of the construction industry, including everything from financing to land development to interior design, to eventually day to day construction on job sites. She looked at her time in Memphis as an extra four years of college, the best hands-on learning experience she could get.While working in Memphis, she learned to work hard to achieve another person's vision. While doing this, she began to develop and cultivate a strong vision of her own aspirations. She knew there was a lack of a "Woman's Touch" in the business, unless you incorporated the extra expense of an interior designer. She knew that if she could build houses that catered to the woman of the house, she could possibly have a bonafide business on her hands. She falls in love with every house she builds; therefore pushing her to make sure every one of them has all the perfect touches. She realizes that you are selling a lifestyle, a dream, a home, not just a house.
Raised in the construction business, Burt has always been taught by both his father and grandfather to be a perfectionist and to never accept less than perfect craftsmanship. He has a true passion for building homes and is most comfortable working with his trades and customers. With his knowledge of the construction business and his ability to truly "listen" to his customers, Burt's customers feel comfortable trusting him with their greatest investment.Raised in the construction business, Burt has always been taught by both his father and grandfather to be a perfectionist and to never accept less than perfect craftsmanship. He has a true passion for building homes and is most comfortable working with his trades and customers. The Housley's contracted Sugg Homes to build their home in 2008 in Barrington Park. Dana Housley and Brittany really hit it off and remain good friends to this day. They share a common obsession with European home styles, and love finding unique furnishings and decor for their homes. The Housley's home remains one of Brittany's favorite projects to date. It embodies the essense of their trademark: craftmenship, uniqueness, and beauty. Below are a few kind words Dana wished to share about Sugg Homes:What attracted me to Sugg Homes was the level of detail, luxury, craftsmanship, and amenities that was placed in each of their custom or spec homes. When you are driving through the neighborhoods of Jonesboro, you will always be able to recognize a home built by Sugg Homes due to their unique architectural style. Not one of their homes are identical or looks like any other home. With Brittany, you are not only blessed with a contractor but an interior designer as well. Therefore, there is no dream, idea, or concept you will have that Brittany will not understand and turn it into a reality. With a young, active family; we needed our home to function in many different ways and grow with us through the years. After Brian and I met with Brittany and explained our desires, she was able to create the function with a sense of style. I have always told Brittany that her homes are like canvases in which she creates a masterpiece each time. There is not a day that goes by that my family and I do not enjoy our home. Brittany was born with a talent and it is reflected in each of her homes.

The Nichol's

The Nichol's contracted Sugg Homes to build their home in the estate section of Sage Meadows. They are cherished customers of Sugg Homes. They might even admit one of their all time favorite customers hands down. Joe, Cindy, and Drew were the kindest, most grateful family with big plans of building their dream home. Burt and Brittany are truly honored that they chose them to make this dream of reality. To this day Brittany remembers the excitement in their eyes and how they would enjoy weekend lunches on their newly framed back porch, just too excited not to go ahead and enjoy one of the most coveted views in Jonesboro. The Rife's

The Rife's contracted Sugg Homes to build their home in 2011 in Barrington Park. This is a beautful traditional home with fun twists that showed how well fusing the buyer's love of traditional and Brittany's love of Old World tastes turned out to be a brillant combination! Kim Rife's choice of warm, cheerful colors and the antique brick trimmings on the exterior are just two of Brittany's favorite features that make this home so unique, but yet has a great feeling of cozyness to it. The epitany of "the Family Home" done "Sugg Style". Below are a few kind words Kim and Doug wished to share about Sugg Homes:When looking for a new home in Jonesboro, we envisioned a European style home with a warm, rustic feel and that is exactly what Sugg Homes gave us. We approached Brittany with a house plan resembling a miniature castle and she was only too happy to create this unique home for our family. A large wrought iron door with beautiful scroll work welcomes us as we enter through a turret style porch into a large two story foyer where we are greeted again by wonderful iron work railings leading to the second floor. We love the arched doorways, warm colors and artistic acid stained floors throughout the home. We envisioned a large kitchen with distressed cabinets, granite counter tops and a french country island and that is exactly what was designed including a custom hood for the cook top. Copper sinks and and a variety of earth toned tiles can be found in the kitchen and bathrooms. The home also boasts two old world fireplaces inside and one on the back porch where our family spends many weekend nights roasting marshmallows as we enjoy the wooded view. One of the most interesting features is my daughter's room which contains a circular sitting room with built in window seats that sits in the witch's hat in the tower. The Vrbieck's

The Vrbieck's purchased one of the most special Sugg Homes to date while it was under construction. Whie most buyers are very particular about what they would like to see in their new homes, Diane and Rob were game for anything. This home was so much fun to build because nothing was off limits! After working on this home for many months with no direction from the new owners, getting to be witness to watching them lay eyes on it for the first time as love it as much as we did was heaven on Earth! Here are a few words from Diane on how she feels about her new home:When we came to visit Jonesboro from out of state on a house buying trip, our realtor showed us about two dozen homes. When she showed us this brand new home being built by Sugg Homes sitting in a beautiful neighborhood on three acres, it quickly jumped out as a frontrunner. The house was about seventyfive percent done when we saw it for the first time. The amazing architectual details are what first jumped out to us; all the beautiful exposed brick on the inside of the house, the stone fireplaces, the beams on the ceiling,wood planks on other ceilings, and the large walk thru shower in the master suite. When the house was completed and we saw it for the first time we could not get over all the quality interior finishes. The copper sinks and faucets, the farmhouse style stone kitchen sink,stone steps, beautiful iron work on the railings, top notch appliances, but the best had to be the way Brittany finished off the media room! The media room was completely finished with a state of the art projector and biggest screen we had ever seen, built in refrigerator, beautiful granite countertops, and the coolest painted stripes on the walls, and theater style sconces on the wall for lighting.
